Aw, Steve, you'll be missed
This has nothing to do with writing, I know, but it just doesn't feel right not to mention the shocking and untimely passing of Aussie legend Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter. Weird that you can feel grief for someone you've never met or had any sort of connection with--only the kind that can be forged through a television screen. Personable, fearless, funny...he was a true character and a fantastic educator. We'll really miss him here at my house.

We are going to miss him at our house too! I can't believe that he is gone! He played with crocs, poisonous snakes & creepy crawlies, and did so many amazing things ... and then dies is a freak incident with a stingray! It blows my mind, but at least he died doing what he loved. His kids will have tons of videos to always remember their incredible dad and his amazing energy, spirit, and love of the world around him!
RIP Crocodile Hunter! You will be missed!!
He was a great man and greater advocate for all animals. I'll miss him.
